HOME
Diggle Angling club was formed in 1952, and is now well established as one of the the best clubs in the heart of the Peak District. We offer fishing at the following - Tanners Dam, The Royal George Complex and ValeHouse Reservoir.
Tanners Dam, Behind Tanners Mill, Near the Clarence Hotel, Greenfield.
The Royal George Complex. includes - The Royal George Dam, the River behind The Royal George Dam, The Manns, the Backwater at the Manns at Well -’I'-Hole, Greenfield.
ValeHouse Reservoir. Old Road, Woodhead Road, Tintwistle.
Although most of our waters contain carp, the average family angler will be pleased by the mixture of other species, unlike the predictability of many local day-ticket waters. Tanners Dam, The Royal George and Valehouse Reservoir, are members only fishing. Day tickets for the Manns are available from the Bailiff, for a very reasonable fee of £2.00 per rod, per day. Club membership starts on the 1st day of March each year, ending on the last day of February of the following year, with year round fishing.
ValeHouse Rervoir
Please be aware that United Utilities have informed us that the disabled platform at Valehouse reservoir is becoming unsafe and is dangerous and in need of repair. They intend to cordon it off in the near future until they can repair it and make it safe to use once more.
